I have these dreams quite often, where I have to kill myself in order to wake up. I wrote down a synopsis when I woke up from each one. I mentioned it to my friend Paul Crowther (The Real Burnouts) and he told me I should make an album based on each one of the instances, so here it is!

1. SHARDS OF GLASS
In a house that I am frantically trying to clean, all the glass and delicate objects keep breaking. My feet are pierced with shards of glass and bleeding profusely. My younger brothers taunt me by breaking more glass. It’s now getting in my mouth and I’m spitting blood. I find the largest shard I can and plunge it into my throat.

2. SELF PROPELLED FALLING
Driving on a mountain road, my car gets stuck. As I get out to see how I can get unstuck, the ground caves and my car begins to fall off the edge. I lose my footing, and I tumble down a cliff. I attempt to climb up, but the soil keeps falling as I try. I am stuck on an outcropping with nowhere to go. As the cliff crumbles around me, I decide to just jump off to crash on the rocks below. I hear the birds in the trees as I fall.

3. PRISON KNIFE RELIEF
I am in prison for life, for unspecified reasons, with no chance of parole. Years and years go by, I implore cellmate after cellmate to arrange for me to be killed. After what feels like 20 years, I find someone that agrees to it. I ask them to arrange it to happen at a random time, so I finally have something to look forward to.

4. DROWN TO WAKE
Stranded in the ocean for hours treading water, I am beyond fatigued. I decide to dive under the water and swim as far down as I can, until I finally lose my breath and fade away.

5. TELEPORTED INTO A PIPE
In the midst of being teleported to an alien spaceship, the beam is interrupted and I am left stuck upside down in a pipe just wide enough to fit my body. It is not wide enough for me to move even the slightest bit. I am dizzy from being upside down and it is hard to breath. I call out for help, but I am deep inside of a buildings workings, so no one can hear me. The only thing I can move is my head, so I begin to smash it into the pipe until I lose consciousness.

6. TRAPPED IN THE SKY
I wake up and I’m trapped in the duct work of an old skyscraper, The only exit is 50 stories up, so I must jump out to escape, falling to my death.

7. LORD DRUGSTORE
I am a DJ on a cruise ship full of amputees, my DJ name is LORD DRUGSTORE. The passengers are dancing violently, causing the ship to rock back and forth, toppling all the furniture and fixtures. I am offered a job to return a marina full of stolen boats to their owners in Iraq. The boats were stolen by Saddam Hussein.
